The part of fortune placement does not show up with most of the sites that produce rapid and free birth charts, but you can calculate it yourself.
They rule Taurus and Libra (for Venus), and then Sagittarius and Pisces (for Jupiter). Benefic planets traditionally are Venus and Jupiter. The significance of the part of fortune in the chart is increased when it sits conjunct with (or next to) benefic planets in the same sign and house or if it sits in a sign ruled by a benefic planet. Its placement represents where you’re lucky and where your worldly success lies. It is an Arabic point rather than a planet, planetoid, or asteroid (like Chiron, for instance). In ancient astrology, the part of fortune placement was considered a significant aspect of the natal chart, rather than the more minor importance placed on it in modern astrology. In other words, we don’t need to be consciously aware of what this placement is, but it can be fun to look at and learn about.
The Part of Fortune placement thus has a natural implementation in our lives. In that case, we are already heading in the right direction. Suppose you are following the “rules” of your big three - expressing yourself through the lens of your Sun sign, leaning into what your moon sign needs emotionally, physically, and in your home space, and moving in the direction of your rising sign (which will typically move us out of our comfort zone). The other reason is that the main emphasis in modern astrology is on our big 3, so we know the essence of what our part of fortune placement is trying to tell us. Such is the nature of the study of astrology. There is so much to know about astrology that even the most seasoned astrologers will tell you they are continually expanding their practice. First, the part of fortune plays a more significant role in traditional astrology, which is not as popular these days. Why is this aspect not very well known in basic astrology?
